Im Rahmen der Neugestaltung des Caf\u00e9s Sacher Eck im Hotel Sacher Wien wurde das Team von Ars Electronica Solutions im Jahr 2017 mit der Entwicklung interaktiver Installationen in dem F\u00fcnfsternehotel betraut. Im Auftrag der Ars Electronica entwickelte Garamantis dann die digitale H\u00e4lfte der analog\/digitalen Highlightinstallation \u2013 ein interaktiver Scherenschnitt der Superlative.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Das ehrw\u00fcrdige Haus wollte seine traditionsreiche Handwerkskunst der Original Sacher-Torte so transportieren und vermitteln, dass auch junge Zielgruppen von der Neugestaltung des Caf\u00e9 Sacher Eck angesprochen werden. Dies gelang \u00fcber eine aus Papier gefertigte Nachbildung der charakteristischen Hotelfront, hinter deren Fenster sich zahlreiche kleine Geschichten beobachten lassen. BesucherInnen schauen quasi in das Hotel Sacher hinein und entdecken die Silhouetten von G\u00e4sten, wie sie z.B. ein Gl\u00e4schen Champagner auf der Terrasse trinken. Au\u00dferdem zu sehen sind herumtollende Kinder in Hotelzimmern, ein beschaulicher Weihnachtsabend mit Geschenken oder ein kompletter Torten-Produktionsablauf in der Manufaktur.<\/p>\n

Technisch umgesetzt haben den extrem aufw\u00e4ndigen Scherenschnitt zwei Papierk\u00fcnstlerinnen aus Wien, die in liebevoller Detailarbeit in mehr als 1.400 Arbeitsstunden das Hotel Sacher aus Papier schufen. Hinter dem Scherenschnitt befindet sich ein 75-Zoll Monitor mit extremer Leuchtst\u00e4rke (high brightness), auf dem sich die digitalen Geschichten abspielen. Die von Garamantis entwickelte Software synchronisiert sich automatisch mit dem webbasiertes Content-Management-System (CMS), \u00fcber welches Szenen einfach ausgetauscht oder\u00a0 hinzugef\u00fcgt werden k\u00f6nnen. Die Installation erh\u00e4lt interaktive Elemente, indem sie sich in ihrer Erscheinung beispielsweise dem Tag-\/Nacht-Rhythmus anpasst sowie die verschiedenen Jahreszeiten mittels Animationen widerspiegelt. Zudem ist sie \u00fcber ein spezielles Hashtag mit Twitter verbunden, sodass BesucherInnen eigene Nachrichten an das Diorama senden k\u00f6nnen, die auf das Papiermodell projiziert werden.<\/p>\n

Zwei weitere Installationen in Form von LED-beleuchteten Vitrinen mit typischen Szenen Wiens, sowie ein hinter halb verspiegeltem Glas verbauter Monitor runden das moderne und dezente Erscheinungsbild des neuen Caf\u00e9s Sacher Ecks ab.<\/p>\n
