Rund 200 Nationen beteiligen sich an der bislang ersten Weltausstellung in einem arabischen Land und pr\u00e4sentieren ihre Zukunftsvisionen: Im Oktober 2021 startete mit einj\u00e4hriger Versp\u00e4tung die Expo in Dubai.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00d6sterreich will mit seinem Pavillon keine Superlative erreichen, sondern Tradition und Moderne verbinden und das Thema Nachhaltigkeit aktiv vorleben. Unter dem Motto \u201eAustria makes Sense\u201c bringen Ars Electronica Solutions<\/a>, bleed, querkraft und b\u00fcro wien zum Ausdruck, dass Nachhaltigkeit kein technologisches Problem ist, welches Ingenieur*innen l\u00f6sen. Sie kann nur durch einen gesellschaftlichen Wandel erreicht werden. Dieser Wandel setzt Empathie f\u00fcr unsere Umwelt voraus. Garamantis wurde von Ars Electronica Solutions beauftragt, die interaktiven Stationen des Pavillons mit Software<\/a> und Steuerung zum Leben zu erwecken.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Konzept der ventilierenden Luftk\u00fchlung<\/h3>\n

Der \u00f6sterreichische Pavillon besteht aus mehreren ineinander verschachtelten Tonkegeln. Jeder dieser Kegel ist auf einer anderen H\u00f6he angeschnitten, wodurch unterschiedlich gro\u00dfe Licht- und L\u00fcftungs\u00f6ffnungen entstehen. Dadurch entsteht ein lichtdurchfluteter Innenraum, der sich durch einen Kamineffekt selbst k\u00fchlt. Eine k\u00fcnstlerische Visualisierung zeigt mittels einer gro\u00dffl\u00e4chigen Projektion spielerisch, wie der K\u00fchleffekt des Pavillons funktioniert. Seine dynamische Visualisierung \u201eAirflow\u201c<\/strong> macht die vor Ort sp\u00fcrbaren Luftstr\u00f6mungen sichtbar – abh\u00e4ngig von den im Lehmkegel anwesenden Personen und deren Bewegungen.<\/p>\n

Magische Roboter-Installation<\/h3>\n

Der runde Tisch \u201eThe Magic of Sand\u201c<\/strong> ist eine robotische Installation. Wie von Geisterhand gesteuert, zieht hier eine Stahlkugel ihre Kreise und zeichnet ebenso komplexe wie sch\u00f6ne Muster in den Sand. Ein Rasterelektronenmikroskop er\u00f6ffnet zudem faszinierende Einblicke in das Wesen dieses wichtigen Baustoffs. Die von der Kugel gezogenen Bahnen und Muster haben einen inhaltlichen Bezug zu \u00d6sterreich.<\/p>\n

Kollaborative Installation bringt Besucher*innen aus der ganzen Welt zusammen<\/h3>\n

H\u00f6hepunkt des \u00d6sterreich-Pavillons ist die interaktive Installation \u201eHeartbeat\u201c<\/strong>. Sie macht deutlich, dass die Menschen trotz aller kulturellen, religi\u00f6sen, weltanschaulichen und ethnischen Unterschiede viel mehr verbindet als trennt. Mittels eines speziellen Interfaces wird der Puls der Besucher*innen gemessen und als Input f\u00fcr eine Chladnische Klangfigur verwendet – gezeichnet von einer sich fortlaufend bewegenden Kugel im Sand. Der Puls s\u00e4mtlicher Besucher*innen verewigt sich zudem in einem Archiv, das \u00e4hnlich den Jahresringen eines Baumes visualisiert wird.<\/p>\n

Im Inneren des Pavillons fallen zwei Dinge auf: Es gibt kaum Bildschirme in der Ausstellung und keinen einzigen Text. \u00d6sterreich will sich nicht \u00fcber Zahlen, Daten, Fakten pr\u00e4sentieren. Sondern \u00fcber Emotionen und Bilder. Die Inhalte werden \u00fcber Animationen und Piktogramme vermittelt, die von allen Menschen ohne Sprachbarrieren verstanden werden k\u00f6nnen. Inhaltlich konkreter wird es im \u201eiLab\u201c<\/strong>, einem an den Ausstellungsbereich angrenzenden Areal, in dem sich 60 innovative \u00f6sterreichische Unternehmen pr\u00e4sentieren.<\/p>\n

Mit mehreren interaktiven, k\u00fcnstlerischen Projekten spricht der Erlebnisraum die Sinne seiner Besucher*innen an, stellt dabei aber nie die Technologie, sondern stets den Menschen ins Zentrum.<\/p>\n
