Scanner-Table Humboldt-Forum

Participants of the conference register at the interactive scanner table

Multi touch table scans business cards or badges with QR code

Garamantis designed a touch-screen with integrated scanner units that was put to use during the media convention “perspektiven” on the Berlin Humboldt-Forum for the first time ever.

Two scanner units in opposite corners of the table make it possible to scan objects and integrate them into an interactive application. Furthermore, they can be used to scan QR and bar codes or other markers. An LED matrix underneath the scanner unit accentuates the scanning process with appealing light animations.

For said media convention at the Berlin Humboldt-Forum, Garamantis developed an application that allowed visitors to check in and identify themselves using their business cards or the QR codes on their badges and then choose their favorite topics or speakers.

The collaboration with Garamantis was excellent, right from the start of the conception process up to the scanner-table’s final assembly for the Humboldt-Forum conference. Thanks to the customized software, we managed to achieve our main objective – the long-term binding of interested parties.
