Innovation Award IT: Interactive Projection Mapping

Innovation Award IT Award for interactive Projection Mapping

A jury of experts awarded Garamantis’ interactive projection mapping the title “BEST OF 2018” in the category Communication. The award-winning product convinced the jury and belongs to the top group of this year’s Innovation Award IT.

Initiative Mittelstand awards the IT Innovation Prize to particularly innovative IT solutions with a high benefit for SMEs. In the Communication category, the expert jury awarded the interactive Projection Mapping by Garamantis the title “BEST OF 2018”. The winning product impressed the jury and is one of the top products in this year’s IT Innovation Award. Last year’s Innovation Award IT went to the Multitouch Scanner Table and the Interactive Display Case. Garamantis is therefore particularly pleased with the renewed success of its recently developed projection mapping product.

How the interactive projection works

Garamantis’ interactive projection mapping combines analogue and digital display techniques to enable intuitive storytelling. Users touch drawings to bring them to life: Animations and short films unfold in front of the user’s eyes. Medium-sized companies can use this technology to present their products and services in a particularly innovative way at trade fairs and in showrooms.

Garamantis uses a laser touch sensor, a PC, proprietary software and extra-bright projectors. The size of the projection can be varied by linking several projectors (one projector covers an area of 1×2 metres). The company is free to choose the content and stories of the interactive wall. These are developed and animated according to the corporate identity. In this way, even SMEs with a limited exhibition budget can create a memorable interactive experience for their visitors.
