Interactive Media Art at Ars Electronica in Berlin

Ars Electronica Exhibition Drive

This year’s Ars Electronica exhibition at the DRIVE Volkswagen Group Forum in Berlin will run from 22 July to 26 October 2017. Now in its sixth year, the exhibition of digital media art focuses on the themes of “encounter” and artificial intelligence.

“What if there were no clear separation between man here and machine there? What if artificially created organs and limbs were natural parts of our bodies?” This year’s Ars Electronica exhibition at the DRIVE Volkswagen Group Forum (Friedrichstraße 84, corner of Unter den Linden, 10117 Berlin) is devoted to these questions about changing forms of encounter and relationship in the age of innovative technologies.

Ars Electronica Exhibition Visits Berlin

14 international artists present works that illuminate the new challenges facing mankind and society from a variety of perspectives. This is the sixth time that our partner Ars Electronica, which organises one of the world’s most important media art festivals in Linz, Austria, has visited us.

Interactive and inspiring, the exhibition encourages reflection and invites visitors to take a stand and try things out. After all, what is a human being if machines can also hear, see and understand?

A look behind the scenes: It took less than a week to set up the Ars Electronica Exhibition.
