100 Years Warner Bros. Singapore

The event WB 100 ,Celebrating Every Story’ took place on Sentosa Island in Singapore in honor of Warner Bros.’ 100^th anniversary. For the celebrations stretching over several weeks in November 2023, a large beach pavilion was equipped with interactive experiential areas and exclusive collector’s items. The free exhibition invited all its visitors, in particular families, to interactively explore the beginnings of the film studios in 1923 and the milestones in its history up to the present day. For instance, there they could meet life-sized versions of The Flash, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman.

On behalf of our partners H&B from Singapore, Garamantis were commissioned to create an innovative 8 m long Projection Mapping Wall. On this wall, any number of visitors could trigger animations and stories starring their favorite superheroes by touch gesture. The content included factoids on the different heroes’ superpowers and specific gadgets as well as information of the characters’ development over the last decades. Besides being in charge of conception and technical implementation by means of ultra-short throw projectors, Garamantis also provided the software and CMS for this installation. This vivid and animated comic-wall managed to impress not only hundreds of visitors, but also the Managing Director of Santosa Island and Warner Bros. Discovery’s Head of Consumer Products, Advertising and Partnerships.

Arcade Motion Game “Tom vs. Jerry”

Another attraction in the beach pavilion was a two-player game in which the opponents in the guise of Tom and Jerry had to either catch or avoid falling objects. For this, the players had to run quickly back and forth on an area of several square meters in front of an LED wall to catch digital cakes and pastries while avoiding dropping knives and scissors. Using LIDAR sensors and Garamantis software, the players were tracked and – dexterity and good skills provided – could climb up the high score. Even in the shade of the pavilion, at over 30°C this was indeed a sweat-inducing experience.

The WB 100 event ,Celebrating Every Story’ has been the second major project this year that we realized in cooperation with our partner H&B on-site in Singapore. More are planned for the upcoming year, and we are very happy about the active partnership with our friends from Singapore!
