Interactive corporate showroom for the Wack Group
Consistent storytelling meets a newly developed, 3 Layer Display
Based near Ingolstadt, the Wack Group has been pioneering clean technology for over 50 years. They offer innovative premium care products for cars, motorcycles, and bicycles, as well as high-precision cleaning solutions for electronics in the aviation, automotive, medical technology, and electronics manufacturing industries. The company has dominated the precision chemical cleaning industry for more than three decades and is the world’s leading supplier in this field. Needless to say, its showroom must also embody this pioneering spirit. That’s why we developed a completely new display to showcase the Wack Group’s services in a tailored way. Among other things.
Our task:
Designing a corporate showroom from creative concept to implementation and maintenance
Our goal was to transform a light-filled room in the Wack Group’s new headquarters into an interactive digital showroom. It is located next to the foyer. Guided tours provide international customers and guests with a hands-on experience of the company’s capabilities and innovations. This provides the perfect introduction to delving deeper into the subject matter in the Wack Group’s laboratory (“Analytikum”) or cleaning machine park (“Technikum”).
We were commissioned to develop the creative concept, technical planning, and entire implementation within 12 months. We delivered on time: the showroom opened in the summer of 2025. Four interactive stations guide visitors through the history and product range of the Wack Group. These stations set new standards in innovative design and interactive presentation technology.
Our presentation innovation:
Garamantis’ interactive, partially transparent “3 Layer Display”
The heart of the showroom is the world’s first “3 Layer Display,” where analog and digital representations merge. We achieved this by combining LED foil, a flat basin filled with glycerin, and transparent OLED touchscreens. Precisely controlled pneumatic valves feed air bubbles into the glycerin layer. The bubbles rise slowly, creating impressive visual effects together with the dynamic LED lighting. The OLED touchscreens respond to movement and display multimedia content directly in front of the air bubbles.
We have installed three of these free-standing displays in the room. They embody the synergy between chemical cleaning and precise technology, in line with the Wack Group’s corporate values. They have a long-range effect. Thanks to their luminosity, the displays attract attention through the outer windows of the room and the window to the foyer, drawing visitors to them. Reflective glass surfaces on the sides of the showroom enhance this effect.
Our interactive analysis station:
It makes the work of the Wack Group tangible
A detailed analysis of dirt particles is an integral part of developing tailor-made cleaning agents at the Wack Group. That is why we have dedicated an entire station to this process, which is presented in an inviting manner. As soon as visitors approach the station, ten “analysis cubes” rise from a console on the wall. Each cube represents a different area of analysis. The cubes are battery-powered mini PCs with square displays. We developed them specifically for this purpose. Once a cube is selected and placed on the illuminated platform, the analysis begins and the relevant data and facts appear behind the reflective glass surface. The host and guests can interact with the data via the touchscreen. For example, they can examine the data with an electron microscope or apply chemical analysis methods. This is ideal preparation for a later visit to the laboratories.
Garamantis’ expansive projection:
Deep Immersive Dive into Products and Solutions
At the front of the room, the Wack Group’s solutions and services are projected onto an 18-square-meter, two-axis inclined wall. This wall can be controlled via a multi-touch table. This collaborative multi-touch surface allows users to “swipe” any content from the table onto the projection wall. The mirrored surfaces on both sides of the projection enhance this presentation environment visually. High-performance LEDs and a special-format monitor with high contrast are behind these surfaces. On this monitor, the managing director appears as a life-size avatar and welcomes visitors.
Our dynamic history wall:
Bringing history to life, literally
At the end of the tour, visitors can explore the history of the family business. In front of a five-meter-long wall print displaying the company’s milestones is a multi-touch monitor that moves horizontally on a rail system. Depending on its position above the print, the milestones are digitally supplemented and brought to life interactively. For example, when visitors move the monitor over a globe, it transforms into a three-dimensional representation that can be rotated and activated with a swipe of the finger.
Garamantis standards:
Central showroom control and software
Although the technology installed in the showroom is complex, its operation is simple and completely intuitive. Visitors follow a logically structured customer journey while the room reacts to their movements in real time with the help of LIDAR sensors. The simple user interface and user-friendly content management system allow control over all aspects of the showroom. With just a few clicks on the control tablet, you can prepare for the next guests by adapting the language, company divisions, or individual stories.
Challenges and solutions at a glance:
☑️ Efficient: 12 months from order to launch
☑️ Flexible: Development of the technical concept based on existing room infrastructure
☑️ Innovative: Customized interactive station for tailored storytelling
